Space Run 3 is a platform adventure game where you play as a small alien creature that moves through structures hanging in space. There are no flat tracks or solid ground to hold on to, only connected platforms, great gaps and diamonds strewn along the way. The further you go, the more important it is to ensure that you’re heading in the right direction and keeping your character on the platform.
The most notable aspect of Space Run 3 is the transformation of the environment into obstacles. Instead of facing a series of enemies or complex battles, you must constantly observe your path and answer a simple question: should you go straight ahead or take a little more risk to get that diamond?
A diamond lying right in the middle of the path is almost harmless. But when it appears near the edge of a platform, the situation changes completely. Just one inaccurate change of direction can send your character into the void.
A common mistake in Space Run 3 is focusing only on where your character is standing. You may see the diamond, but miss the big gap behind it.
A more reasonable approach is to look at the path ahead. Before you jump, check the width of the next platform where you will land and how you will need to change direction after landing. Look ahead and you move with purpose instead of constantly adjusting direction at the last minute.
The controls of the game are pretty brief:
This simplicity means the rest of the gameplay relies heavily on control. You don't have a range of skills to use to correct a misstep. Once you're close to the edge of the platform, a sudden change of direction or an ill-calculated jump can render all your previous efforts useless.
This is where the interesting calculation comes into play on each path. Diamonds act as secondary objectives, but they can also cause you to stray from a safe position.
Imagine two scenarios: one diamond right on the path and another right at the edge of the platform. In the first case, collecting it is almost effortless. In the second case, you need to consider the distance, direction of movement, and the area where you can land after the jump.
So collecting all the diamonds is not always the most important option Sometimes it’s better to leave your character safe and move on than to try to grab an item in a dangerous place.

Space Run 3 doesn’t need to have an overly complicated gameplay system to be a challenge. Floating platforms, wide open spaces and strategically placed diamonds are enough to make every move count. The game is more about a style of play where you need to watch and control each jump, rather than just running forward.
If you enjoy minimalist platform games where the environment and your character’s positioning largely dictate the outcome, Space Run 3 is worth playing a few times.
